Catchin' Up

So I haven't been posting lately but it's only because I've been enjoying your company far too much to stop and write down what's going on.

However I have been mentally documenting everything everyday. The weather is becoming beautiful again and I for one am loving it. Beautiful weather gives me and mommy the opportunity to take you out more without worry if you becoming sick. So about two weeks ago we took you for an outing to the park where I took Mommy's maternity shoot. It was a great day but the wind was just a little too much for your little lungs to tolerate. So we got in the car and went to eat. We went to a neighborhood that mommy and daddy could both see you being raised in. You of course slept through most of the trip.

When that was done you and mommy joined me downtown to go sell a pair of sneakers that daddy doesn't need anymore. It was a laid back weekend. The ones I look forward to all week.

That Monday it was back to work as usual. Can you say boooooring! But that week I began watching some basketball with you. You seemed to enjoy it although it only kept your attention for a few seconds at a time. That's okay I don't expect you to be focused on any one thing for too long. In fact that's one of the things I love about you, you're so observant of everything around you! You spend so much of your time looking around to see what's new in your surroundings.

So last week you went to meet your great grandma on Mommy's side in Staten Island. I didn't go but I hear you were awesome as always. Lol. That's also the week that I noticed that you discovered your feet. Lol bits the cutest thing. You've been trying to sit up on your own for a while now and with the discovery of your feet the combination is just so cool to watch. You bend all the way down to touch your feet and if you happen to be on your back you find a way to get your feet to your mouth. Boy. That stage already. Soon you'll be crawling and walking and talking and trying to eat any and everything you come across. I don't know if I'm ready. Lol.

Feels like just yesterday I was a confused man coming home from the hospital with a 3 day old baby...... Now I'm a slightly less confused (but still very confused) man with a 4 month old baby. Where did the time go!? Lol.

Still you are the greatest thing in mommy and daddy's life. You literally only cry when your hungry, I have no other baby to compare you to, but you seem advanced for your age and you have perfect hair. There is no lose anywhere with you! I love the way your eyes light up when you smile. And you watch me whenever I walk into a room, reminding me to be on my best possible behavior. You tug on my beard as if I grew it solely for the purpose of you holding on to it. And your laugh, boy oh boy the poems that could be written about it.

It's obvious that I'm sweatin' you! I'll save some for the next post. Love you baby!!
