Telling Everyone... Mother's Day

cont'd
-----

So, for obvious reasons mommy and I had chosen not to tell everyone all at once just yet. However a few people did know immediately. She told your grandma (her mom) who was SO excited and spread the news to various people on her side of the family. Within a few hours she received calls from aunts, uncles and even her little brother, you're uncle Dylan who was given the news by his grandmother in Puerto Rico. Lol. And they say good news doesn't travel fast.

On my side I couldn't wait to tell your uncle Rudy. I text'd him, told him to call me and he hit me back before we even got out the car. He was just as excited as I was. He even joined me in the "It's gonna be a boy" song and dance.
I couldn't wait to tell my mom but we had to because mommy still hadn't gone to the doctor to be told how far along she was and if the pregnancy tests she took were accurate. Lol. I mean we knew they were but you know women. Nothing anyone or anything says matter unless it's co signed by a doctor.

So I waited to tell my mom but I did tell your uncles Perse, Ryan and Maul. They congratulated me right before they started the jokes. Lol, them all being fathers themselves they dropped jewels on me.
That was all on Thursday afternoon after work. Come Friday morning all I could think about was babies. What will you look like, I hope he's a boy so that I can finally have a team mate to go up against mommy and Juno. (That's your big sister by the way, the furry one that walks on 4 paws!) If it's a girl I'll love her just as well & she'll be daddy's little girl who comes to me when her mom says no! Lol
The thoughts in my head were endless.

At work everything was moving like clock work... Suddenly my boss asks, "So what is everyone doing for Mother's Day this Sunday?" Everyone said a little bit and then I said "Well, I'm gonna spend some time with my mom and grandmother and of course the now expecting mother of my first child" everyone looked surprised as they pieced it together and then came a sea of "SHES PREGNANT!?" And "CONGRATULATIONS!" And hand shakes. Lol
That Saturday before Mothers Day we went to the movies to watch 'Neighbors' and I won't ruin the movie for you but the fact that there's a newborn baby in it was a special thing for me now.
Now the Mother's Day excitement was too much to hold in. I HAD to tell your grandma(my mom) that her first born was expecting his first born.  So the next day (Sunday) we went to Target and got her a card in which I wrote 'To an amazing mother and soon to be grandmother, Happy Mothers Day! I love you!' (I remembered how to spell 'love') loll.

When we got to my grandma's nursing home I said hi to everyone present, said Happy Mother's Day to my aunt and grandma and pulled my mom to the side. I hadn't got a card for everyone else and I also didn't wanna share the news with everyone else yet. So I grabbed my mom pulled her into the other room and gave her the card. She began to read it out loud and before she can finish reading the word 'grandmother' she let out a sound that I'd never heard a human make. Lol. Her smile was brighter than I'd ever seen it and she said "Oh my God! Congratulations" as she hugged me. She threw in a "I thought you said you didn't want kids right now" I said "well we didn't plan it this way but we're happy about it." She said "I'm happy too congratulations baby" and we walked back to the room where everyone was sitting. When I told my dad he was his usual nonchalant self. He said "oh yeah!? Good good" and walked out. Lol

By that following week Mommy told your grandpa (her dad) and her grandmother already knew. Lol (you know grandmothers.) she also told her aunts and your aunt Pia and she had already told a few of her cousins via private Facebook chat.

I told your uncle Gil and he shared some very heartfelt inspirational words of congratulations. I almost teared up but in too much of a thug. Lmao. Then I told Lindsay. Also excited she congratulated me about 3 times and told me how happy she was for me. I thanked her endlessly and we both laughed about how excited we were.
She said to me "Mr. I don't want any children." I responded to her "Well I want this one!" Lmao.

We waited a few weeks passed that point before we came out and told everyone as a whole, and when we did the congratulations came in like water came into the Titanic! Daddy will tell you what that is someday! At this point everyone knows. We're basically all waiting to meet you at this point! So.... see you in a few months baby. Daddy loves you.

FFZ.
